Welcome to
Menus by Molly
where my daughter Molly and I share whole food plant-based recipes supported by science to help people feel their best despite life’s obstacles.
Molly, who has Down syndrome, is the inspiration behind Menus By Molly. Cooking together has become one of our favorite activities, and she is the BEST cooking assistant. She loves helping measure ingredients, watching everything come together in the blender or pan, and of course, making sure every recipe passes the most important test of all—the taste test!
Through this blog, we show families that healthy food can be both delicious and doable. Our recipes are made with whole food plant-based ingredients, include scientific links so you can explore the “why,” and most are gluten-free and dairy-free.

Did you know that autism (ASD), ADHD, and Down syndrome can be impacted by what you eat? Research continues to show that nutrition can influence brain function, behavior, and overall health. That’s why each recipe includes a science section explaining how certain ingredients support health, learning, and behavior.
However, Molly’s favorite part of every recipe is definitely the taste-testing!
My Training in Whole Food Plant-Based Nutrition
My background in science helps guide every recipe you’ll find on Menus By Molly.
Over the years I have continued studying whole food plant-based nutrition so I can better understand the latest research and best practices for healthy eating, and how nutrition supports people with autism, Down syndrome, and ADHD. I incorporate what I learn into the recipes and science sections on Menus By Molly.

How Our Recipes Work
Some of the recipes we share are our own creations, and others we test and critique from other websites.
When we share someone else’s recipe, we always give credit to the original creator while guiding you through the process with Molly’s photos and our personal tips.
We know that every person with ASD, ADHD, or Down syndrome is unique, so our goal is simply to share a variety of easy recipes that support health while still being delicious and realistic for everyday families to make.
Our hope is simple: that Menus By Molly will inspire you to try recipes that positively influence the health, learning, and behavior of yourself or someone you love.
